BE~BOX — The Principle of Placement

A Sokoban puzzle game about boxes, placement, and the box-being.

BE~BOX leans into a warm, ruled-notebook-paper aesthetic — striped blocks, dashed target zones, and a soft palette that feels more like a productivity journal than a game. Underneath the cozy look is a straightforward puzzle mechanic: push boxes onto their matching targets.

A few levels reuse and rework ideas from the Just Another Sokoban, adapted here into the BE~BOX. The whole thing was vibe-coded with Claude, but every level was designed by hand — I tried to keep each one built around a single compact idea rather than just stacking difficulty.

How to play

  • Move — Arrow keys or WASD
  • Switch character — Tab, or click directly on a character
  • Undo a step — Backspace
  • Restart the level — R

Push boxes onto their matching colored target. Green boxes belong on green targets, red on red — grey boxes are nobody's problem. A level is complete once every colored box has found its place.

Some characters are stronger than others: Small contributors can push one box at a time. Big contributors can push chains of boxes, and even move Small ones out of the way.

Have fun!
